Anaheim - Disneyland

Thirty miles east of Los Angeles is the well-known city of Anaheim California. The tenth largest city in California, and home to the Disneyland Resort and Disney’s California Adventure, Anaheim is a well-known city. Part of this city’s popularity is due to the fact that in the 1950’s,Walt Disney chose to build a theme park on what used to be acres of orange groves.

Disneyland California Adventure opened in 2001, and has since drawn ever-increasing crowds to Anaheim California. There are 27 restaurants, 18 stores, and great adventures like a flight simulator called Soarin over California. There is also a unique ferris wheel, and water rides.

When Disney’s California Adventure theme park opened, visitors flocked to Anaheim to try the rides and games that are themed towards California attractions and cities, like California Screamin, Grizzly River Run, and Mulholland Madness. Often visitors will plan their Disney vacations to include a visit to this 55-acre park, which is located right next to Disneyland.
